CORE [http://www.TexomaCORE.org] — a small non-profit in north Texas that organized a few years ago to fight off a coal-fired power plant in their county (just south of the OK/TX border) — is now focusing on local food production as a key to sustainability and transition. Two of their members are hosting a Permaculture Design Certification Course at Wildscape Acres near Ravenna, Texas, from Sep 25–Oct 9, 2010, led by Patricia Allison with Dylan Ryals-Hamilton, Mateo Ryall, and guests. Patricia is well-known in permaculture circles and has been teaching the course since 1994. Course details are at http://wildscapeacres.homestead.com/Permaculture.html
